Professor John Scoubis was originally hired to teach Mathematics at Malcolm X University in 1974 and in 1993, he transferred to Wright College. As the Mathematics Professor and Chairman at Wright College, Professor Scoubis was responsible for coordinating the schedule and hiring both full-time and part-time professors. He also developed a set of courses that were approved by the state. From 1964-1972, John worked as an electronic engineer. During this time, John received various company awards for the patents he developed. Upon his retirement in 2012, John continued to tutor students in math. He is currently working on assessments and tutoring with the Catholic High School in his community. John attributes his success to his hard-work and his consistent nature.
