The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Chawkat Chouman

 
Chawkat Chouman is an international executive with over 30 years of experience in engineering, real estate, construction management and executive leadership. Most recently the Executive Director of GFH Financial Group, he is a seasoned strategy leader and has overseen major projects, design development, delivery and budgetary direction. He is a renowned expert in development and construction management, people management, time management and cost supervision, and is invited to speak at conferences regarding the areas of his expertise his broad experience has afforded him.
 
After earning a Bachelor of Science with Merit in Civil Engineering from Tishreen University, he went on to complete a Master of Science in the subject. He is a LEED Green Associate, and has complete professional proficiency courses in Internal Auditing (ISO 10011), Construction Management Claims, Construction Law and Contracts, Construction Safety- Health-and Environment, Project Scheduling and Management.
 
Prior to joining GFH Financial Group, he was the Area Manager of Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Holding LLC and the Vice President and Project Director of Majid Al Futtaim. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Syrian Syndicate of Engineers and the Who’s Who of Professional Management.  In 2012, he received an award from The Biz Arabia (an extension of the World Confederation of Business) in honor of his exemplary work in project management with the Saudi Bin Laden Group.
 
Chawkat credits his success to the acquiring of experience, world-class training and a thirst for learning every day. He resides in Bahrain, and speaks Arabic, English and a working proficiency of French. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming and playing tennis.
