The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Clarence O’Berry

 
Clarence O’Berry is the President/CEO of Mandaree Enterprises, LLC, a family of companies and subsidiaries owned by the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota.  Mandaree Enterprises is composed of ten primary companies, which include, among others, MEC Energy Services, MEC Development and Dae Sung, LLC.  These firms provide a range of services that covers everything from healthcare claims processing, IT and logistics and facilities management, to equipment leasing, sustaining engineering, corrosion control services, moving and storage facilities, and more.
 
An entrepreneur from his youth, Clarence has transformed Mandaree Enterprises in his 23-year tenure as CEO from a single, struggling company into an ever-expanding suite of impactful firms. His appreciation for the value of innovation, boundary-testing, and unconventional thinking has resulted in the diversification and organizational renewal that has made Mandaree Enterprises an increasingly important player in the North Dakota and national economies.
 
Clarence began pursuing his professional entrepreneurial career directly out of high school, but has remained committed to his personal and professional development. He has completed multiple small business, entrepreneurship and executive management programs at a variety of prestigious institutions of higher learning, including the University of North Dakota, Clark Atlanta University, Loyola University Maryland, the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and Babson College.
 
Clarence possesses excellent communication skills and the proven ability to guide organizations to success. He provides broad leadership, leads marketing activities, negotiates partnerships, advocates for continuous improvement, and establishes a vision for the entire organization. He is a self-made success story and a former small-business owner whose expertise in competing for and winning federal contracts and international opportunities has expanded his corporation’s footprint exponentially.
 
Clarence is a member of Vistage, a volunteer advisor to the Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council, and an inventor in his own right with a U.S. patent on file. He also serves as a business mentor to large, small, and minority-owned companies nationwide.
 
Clarence is a resident of Minot, North Dakota.
