The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Daniel Kellenberger


 
Daniel Kellenberger is the Group Finance Director of Veldhoven Clothing Holding Ltd. Here, he wears many different hats for the responsibility of 40 FTE in his departments. As a manager, he maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures manages outsourced functions, and oversees the operations of the treasury department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives. As a funds manager, he forecasts cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment, uses hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company’s borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions, and assists in determining the company’s proper capital structure. As a budgeter, he manages the preparation of the company’s budget, and the reasons for those variances, and assists management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction. As a financial analyst, he engages in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company, engages in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement, reviews company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughout, assists in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing, and create additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
 
Since the beginning of his career at Veldhoven, he has been responsible for preparing with management by objectives with a business plan and financing plan. He subsequently conducted three successful acquisitions with a 50-percent turnover. He is introducing the economic value added principle as a control and bonus key performance indicator within a listed company, and is building effective management information systems for Europe.
 
Some of the things he has implemented are: the introduction of EVA principle as a control and bonus KPI within a listed company, building an effective MIS for Europe, successfully completed during 2 years of two centralization projects in secondary manufacturing (from 6 locations to 2) and logistics (1 central EU warehouse) – net saving around £ 4M.), and as a project member attaining several successful acquisitions with a £450M turnover. He has seen the development and implementation of an international business and financial strategy and built an effective MIS and an adequate human resources strategy.
 
Daniel analyzes and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicates monthly and annual financial statements collates financial reporting materials for all donor segments, and oversees all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
 
Daniel coordinates and leads the annual audit process, and is a liaison with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors- assessing any changes necessary. He also oversees and leads annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the ED, administers and reviews all financial plans and budgets, monitors progress and changes and keeps senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
 
As specialist in Human Resources, Technology and Administration, Daniel holds a MBA in Finance from GSBA and the University at Wales, 2002. In his spare time he enjoys badminton, skiing, and hockey. He resides in Switzerland.
