The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Deborah A. Rites
Deborah A. Rites is the Senior Business Development Manager of Global Programs at Cisco Systems, a technology company that has been a leader in the development of Internet Protocol (IP)-based networking technologies that enable people to make powerful connections, whether in business, education, philanthropy, or creativity. With more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the communications industry, Deborah has spent the last several years in various positions of support in the design, execution and management of the Cisco Services Partner Program. She oversees a team of 8 and specializes in the Services program and product development lifecycle, sales and marketing.
A seasoned professional, Deborah has worked in every aspect of the technology communications sector and marketing, including business development, unified communications, solution selling, strategic partnerships, sales and partnership management, pre-sales, cloud computing, enterprise software, and telephony.
After launching her sales career with AT&T, Deborah quickly established herself as a rising talent in the field. She joined Lucent Technologies as an Account Executive, rising to become Services Channel Program Manager and later Product Manager. She then transferred to Avaya, where she worked as a Channel Readiness Manager, in series business development, and as a Distributor Account Manager. Prior to joining Cisco in 2010, she served as a Business Consultant for Del Oro Consulting, Inc. A celebrated employee wherever she been, Deborah was awarded the AT&T Technical Excellence Award, Avaya President’s Award for team excellence, and the Lucent Rev-Up Award, Branch Award, and the Go the Distance Award.
A resident of Dallas, Pennsylvania, Deborah is mindful of the next generation of women business professionals. She plans to continue to grow in her talents and to give back, mentoring girls who are considering careers in IT, and helping them explore their options and potential within this heavily male-dominated field.
