John P. Rankin is CEO & Senior Analyst at Every121 Ltd. He co-founded the company in 2008 and is primarily involved with government departments, senior executives, national and international organizations for team building, and more. His goal is to be a leading expert in the field and the go to person for employee engagement.
 
John’s career inspiration came from his father; he was greatly intrigued by a particular business partnership, with a good friend of his father, which collapsed due to conflict. John has since built an interest in learning and understanding why things fall apart in business relationships.  This interest express in a variety of areas, including the human psyche, particularly in reference to why companies fail.  This topic is the subject of John’s current writing project, a new book concerning work environments and people relationships.  John is affiliated with the Irish International Business Network, International Institute of Business Analysis, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, and the Royal Institute of Philosophy.
 
John points out that he offers a unique service to business leaders by being able to identify people who can and cannot work together. To use the adages, “People leave people, not companies” or “You can train someone to do a job but you can’t train a personality”.  By comparing personalities, it is possible to identify supportive, similar or conflicting relationships. Knowing how a personality changes when they are under stress or continual stress and how this affects the working relationship is the key to effective management.  John helps executives acquire and use this information to help with employee engagement, conflict management, stress & wellness management, team building and target placement.  This is not psychometric testing but a very old tried and tested comparison system.
