KC Salazar is the Chief Operating Officer for Doughnut Plant, a high quality bakery and retail chain known for its top quality ingredients and commitment to handmade methods. With more than 15 years of experience in finance, operations and executive management, KC is responsible for all legal issues, human resources operations and all of the finances. Under his guidance, Doughnut Plant has risen to become the number one specialty doughnut/coffee shop in New York City, and the most recognizable in the United States.
KC has seen the company adapt and thrive under rapid growth, going from 10 employees to 130, and moving operations into a top of the line baking facility, while opening 4 additional stores and seeing revenue grow to upwards of $10M—all in the span of just 5 years.
KC credits his success to his results-driven work ethic, and combined expertise across the retail and manufacturing sectors. He received his Masters of Business Administration from California University of Pennsylvania, and earned his bachelor’s in Spanish from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Doughnut Plant, KC received the Certificate of Studies of Highly Effective People at Villanova University. He finely honed his own method for project management and efficiency, called “POPE”: People Organize Plan and Execute.
KC continues to spearhead growth and opportunities for Doughnut Plant across the country and to collaborate with regard to all facets of the business. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys traveling, health/ nutrition, and philosophy.
