Luis Amezcua is a freelance Information Technology and Innovation Consultant based in Mexico City, Mexico. With over 20 years of experience in IT solutions and strategy, he is a seasoned expert and highly knowledgeable about BI and BPM solutions delivery, innovation management, technology integration, business process improvement and implementation, and client management and development. He focuses on strategic improvement as well as excellence in IT services delivery, and assists his clients the expansion of company operations. He is known for his ability to align business and IT strategies, and has a track record of institutionalizing efficient and robust governance. He also optimizes investments as he helps companies adopt a culture of transformation as they revolutionize their IT capabilities.
After earning a MSc in Technology and Innovation Management from Fachhochschule Brandenburg in 2001, Luis quickly established himself as a rising talent in the IT and business transformation sector. Prior to establishing his private consultancy, he served as Chief Information Officer for Hipotecaria Total (HiTo), a financial services firm that structures and master services primary mortgage portfolios and other investments. For HiTo, he oversaw innovation and strengthened the local and “cloud” infrastructure according to best practices, and reengineered and automated the IT operating model to international standards such as ITIL and COBIT, among other functions.
Luis has proven ability to provide services focused on strategic improvement, as well as excellence in IT services delivery and in supporting the expansion of company operations. He holds a strong strategic vision in infrastructure consolidation, recruitment of new talent, new product development and customer relationship management. He speaks English, French, German and Spanish, and outside of running his firm finds time to enjoy traveling and cinema.
