Mariana Herrera is a dynamic attorney and social activist practicing largely in the area of environmental law. As the head of her own practice since 2013, she has over 6 years of broad experience in the legal field, across the corporate, immigration, healthcare and commercial sectors. A public notary, she also has expertise in real estate and registry procedures, business development and legal document translation.
 
After earning a Licentiate degree in Law from the University of Costa Rica, Mariana went on to complete a Specialization in Notarial Law and a Master of Laws in Environmental Law from the University. She worked as a lawyer for Pacheco Coto and as an Immigration Coordinator for Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy. Proir to opening her private practice, she served as a corporate and commercial lawyer for Essentials, where she ran their notary department, handled all environmental issues and often matters pertaining to labor law.
 
Mariana is highly active in project coordination for non-profit organizations and assistance providing food and clothing to those in higher social risk. She serves as a member to Fundacion Daadios and volunteered as a Nursery Assistant for Casita de San José. A resident of Costa Rice, she is a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and speaks fluent English and Spanish.
