The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Mark Matheson

 
Mark Matheson is the Chief Information Officer of Smartlink, LLC, a staffing and self-performing services company that operates nationwide across more than 20 markets and provides solutions in development, engineering and maintenance for new and existing communications infrastructures. Based out of Annapolis, Maryland, the firm was established in 2000 and offers site support, technical and property services for the communications industry. With over 21 years of experience in his field, Mark oversees and manages all IT infrastructure, operations and business applications at Smartlink as well as two other companies within the group, Hometown – The Chesapeake Bayhawks (a major league lacrosse team) and Driven (a national transportation services company).
 
After earning a Master of Business Administration in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Strategy, and Change Management from Edith Cowan University in Australia, where he was ranked one of their “top 100 students” in 2007, Mark transitioned to the United States. There, he rose from his position of Principal analyst at Cristal Global to become Global Director of Business Solutions for the $3B global company. Prior to becoming CIO of Smartlink, he served as its Vice President of Information Technology. He is an award winning and results-driven executive, whose international career has led him to be repeatedly recognized and awarded for his outstanding achievements.
 
A specialist in leadership, cross-functional team leadership, and change management, Mark is seasoned in all aspects of the business process and portfolio management.  He credits his success to the ability to flourish and motivate teams in constantly evolving work environments, and his ability to harness high levels of business acumen and ethics. He is known as a champion for diversity and cultural sensitivity to inspire globally-based resource teams to contribute their unique expertise towards project completion.
 
Today, Mark resides in Parkton, Maryland, where he enjoys fishing, woodworking and reading in his spare time.
