Samantha Plan is the CEO and managing director of Paramount Professionals Global Group Ltd., which comprises six businesses, including Paramount College, Paramount Training and Employment Services, Paramount Employment and Career Advisory Services, Paramount Recruitment Solutions, Paramount Global Graduate Partners, and Paramount Consulting. She has held this position since 2005. She is an expert in human capital business who is in the process of expanding her business globally, particularly in the Middle East and Asia.
Samantha earned a bachelor’s in human resources management in 1992 and a master’s in business management, human resources management, and services in 1993, both from University College Dublin. She previously held the director role at Marlborough Group PLC in Dublin for seven years, where she worked concurrently for Marlborough PLC and The Marlborough Group Ltd., and as the human resources director and controller role at Kerry Foods in Ireland for almost five years, where she was responsible for separating operating units, a shared services center, and a head office employing more than 4,200 employees based around 23 sites in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
She is highly experienced in non-executive director roles on Boards, as well as in Human Resources, Human Capital and Education at the Director Level. Her board and committee experience includes the role of Executive Director of the Paramount Professionals Global Group since 2005, Non-Executive Board Member of An Cosán Charity, Member of The Marlborough Group PLC, Member of the International Society of Executives & Professionals, and serves on the following committees: QQI New Standards, QQI Business Standards Amalgamation, Skillnets Certification, and Skillnets Job Seeker Support Committee.
Samantha’s board experience paired with her success in growing each of the six businesses that comprise Paramount, have her poised to expand business at an international level. She fluently speaks French and English, and has unparalleled communication skills in the global arena. She looks forward to expansion, particularly in the Middle East and Asia.
She often speaks about the benefits of cross-training individuals to fill needs in different industries. She possesses a reputable level of expertise in recruiting, employee relations, strategizing, training, and mergers and acquisitions. She does a lot of pro-bono work helping the unemployed obtain jobs. After a company that employed her in Ireland laid off 575 employees right before the holiday season, she and her team were able to find 338 of them new jobs. She wants to expand her business contacts and make great connections.
